On the runway right now, designers and luxury brands are showcasing their Resort 2018 collections (the clothes you need to bridge the gap between Fall/Winter and Spring Summer).  But at Marie-Lou & D our eyes were on the hair (as well as those winged eyes) at Louis Vuitton’s epic show in Japan. “There is definitely a very modern, natural, wavy vibe around but the direction for hair this season is really a melting pot. There’s a feeling of freedom, self-expression and anything goes” says Leon Gorman, our new Creative Director who regularly works his magic for Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire.

Courtney Love drops into
Marie-Lou & D

Courtney Love dropped into our salon last Saturday on the recommendation of a friend at Vogue and we can report those infamous platinum locks are now a demure shade of honey.  “I used mousse to give her hair texture, brushed it out then gave her a blow-out.  The look was tousled and wavy with a hint of rock and roll. She’s really sweet and very chilled,” says Leon.
